Accessibility Information

Increasing the text size on our website

You can make the text on your computer easier to see and read in a number of ways including making the text bigger inside your web browser, which will make it easier to surf the internet. This process is different depending on your operating system (Windows, Mac or Linux). Most of the time you can use the Ctrl key on your keyboard (held down) and using the + and - symbols to increase and decrease the size of the content on your screen. For more information about this and in depth guide we recommend you visit this website.

Information for People with Limited Mobility

In conjunction with leading specialists, we have made the best efforts to ensure that as many of our screens as possible are accessible to those with limited mobility. Of our 19 screens, 12 are suitable for wheelchair access. In some cinemas, the physical design of the building has made it impossible to provide complete accessibility coverage, and we have to take into account many factors when deciding what is viable and what isn't. In addition to this, we have gone to great lengths to install high-visibility stair nosings and handrails to provide as much aid as possible. You can find full details of a cinemas accessibility on the 'Your Cinema' page, and you can also click on any performance time to see if a particular film is in a wheelchair accessible screen. In addition, our trained members of staff are only too happy to offer assistance where required.

Subtitled Shows

All of our cinemas are equipped with facilities to show films with subtitles for the hard of hearing. Where possible we try to schedule late afternoon and evening performances. Our ability to show subtitled films is dictated by whether the feature film is encoded with the necessary information - not all do, and where scheduled, these shows can be found on the 'Now Showing' page of our website.

Infra-Red Hearing Induction Loops

Infra-red Hearing Induction is a facility to boost the sound volume for the hard of hearing. In order to use this facility, a pair of headphones is available from the cinema ticket desk. These are placed over the ears and the sound and can be adjusted using the volume dial on the headset. Please be aware that we do not offer T-position Infrared neck loops due to incompatibilities with our systems.

Audio Description

Audio Description uses the same headphones as our infra-red system. Instead of the films soundtrack, a narrator describes the action as it is happening on-screen. Not all feature films carry the extra information necessary for Audio Description.  Ideal for the visually impaired, the volume level can be adjusted using the dial on the headset.

Wired Hearing Induction Loops

This type of induction loop allows the user to switch their hearing aid to the 'T' position in order to receive a monaural soundtrack directly to the aid. Where this is fitted, users must sit within an area of the auditorium that is 'wired up.' Staff at the cinema will be able to advise on the correct location.
